NSA GIRLS FAST PITCH SCHOLORSHP TOURNAMENT

Date: June 7-8, 2008
Site: Softball World – 5500 West 130th St. Brook Park, OH 44142. Softball World is a
five diamond lighted complex located a mile south of I-480 West at Exit 12B or 2
miles south of I-480 east at exit W. 150th & W. 130th. Among other things Softball World offers a covered playground for the kids, concession stand and second floor sports lounge.
Divisions: NSA Girls Fast Pitch 18u, 16u, 14u, 12u, and 10u.

Format: Three game guarantee (Weather Permitting). Play starts Saturday at 8am.

Entry Fee: $325.00 per team. Your entry fee and registration form must be received by
Friday May 30th at 5pm to Softball World 5500 West 130th Street, Brook
Park, Ohio 44142. Game balls and umpires fees are included in the entry
Fee. An NSA sanction number will be required on the entry form. Only
Money orders or cashiers checks will be accepted. Make all checks
payable to Softball World. No teams will be accepted after March 30th
Rosters: All rosters have to be filled out on line at
www.playnsa.com
. The completed
on line copy must be sent to the tournament director with signatures for both
players and parents. These must be completely filled out. Rosters with
missing information will not be accepted and the team will not be allowed
to play in the tournament.
Sanction: All teams must be registered with the National Softball Association.
Proof of Insurance: As well as the insurance # on the roster form, the manager must
Have a copy of their insurance. This will be checked prior to the first game.
Tournament Draw: Tuesday, June 3rd after 9:00 PM. For game times phone Softball
World at 216-362-8200. In addition all managers will receive a
copy of the tournament schedule via email no later than
Wednesday June 10th by 9am.
Game Schedules: Team Managers are instructed to advise the Tournament Director,
Prior to the Tournament draw, of any possible conflict or special circumstances. First round games may not be played in numerical order since consideration may be given to teams traveling the greater distance. No grace period will be allowed.
Playing Rules: To be in strict accordance with NSA Fastpitch rules.
Conditions: The Tournament Director reserves the right to rule on matters as they occur.
Including any deemed necessary to commence and complete the tournament. In the event of rain, teams must be prepared to conform to a revised format. The committee assumes that all players are competing at their own risk and will not be liable for any accidents or injuries. Entry into this tournament constitutes agreement to these conditions.
Protests: There will be a $75.00 protest fee that will be refunded if the team filing the
Protest wins the protest. The protest committee will be composed of the NSA Ohio State Director, Tournament Director or others appointed by the tournament director.
Uniforms: To be in strict accordance with NSA rule book. NO METAL CLEATS.
Berths: 1 berth per 8 teams in each age group for the World Series.
Awards: 1st and 2rd sponsor and individual awards per age group.
Scholarships: One team will be chosen at random per age group. One person from that
team will be chosen at random as the scholarship winner (winner needs to
be on the roster and have participated in this tournament). Scholarships
are awarded per division as follows: 18u (500.00), 16u ($500.00),
14u ($500.00), 12u ($500.00), and 10u ($500.00).
Admission Policy: Softball World admission fee is $5.00 per person per day. Seniors,
children, and all players are admitted free. Absolutely no outside
food or beverages are allowed to be brought into the park with the
exception of water coolers. Concessions and sports bar/restaurant
are on the premises.
